In Michigan, typically the court will enter a no contact order which means you cannot go back home. If the victim is not at the house then you can go home. The no contact order will usually be specific to the person, not the address. The no contact order generally will not involve children, just the victim, therefore you can still see your children. If the victim is calling you despite there being a no contact order, you shouldn’t contact the victim. If you do, then you run the risk of violating the court order.
