What If My Ex Refuses To Take A Paternity Test In Michigan? [Video]

What If My Ex Refuses To Take A Paternity Test In Michigan? – (248) 588-3333

Sometimes when paternity isn’t established, the court will order the parties to engage in appropriate DNA testing. Some fathers refuse because they may think that if they refuse, they will be off the hook for paying child support because paternity won’t be determined. The court will enter an order requiring you to present yourself at a court recognized lab and do the appropriate testing. If you fail to appear then a judgement determining paternity could be entered by default and support could begin by default. If you need assistance with this, please contact our office today for more information.
