A common question asked involves the calculation of child support. What you need to know for calculating child support is that the court will look at the respective incomes of both parties. The court will also look at how many children there are and how many overnights are the children with mom and dad. Therefore if you take these three factors, then you will get your real number. Sometimes both parents will work out a private agreement that one parent can have the children and return them before the children’s bedtime. However, the problem with this schedule involves the overnights. The issue is that the calculation will show 365 overnights for one parent, and 0 for the other parent which means you will pay the highest level of support. It is important to keep in mind that just because you pay for clothes and food for your children, doesn’t let you off the hook for the support that are required to pay.
