Safe Summer Alternatives Due to Covid-19

With Covid-19 disrupting many planned family actives and vacations, we wanted to share a few tips for maintaining a strong family bond amidst the current pandemic. Here are a few activities to try with your loved ones this summer instead of having a large gathering.

1. Host a backyard BBQ. Hosting a backyard BBQ outdoors is considered a low risk activity, as you’re able to maintain social distance between those who attend. If you want to be on the extra-safe side, request those who were invited be tested before attending your BBQ.

2. Spend a day at the beach. So long as you maintain social distance and avoid crowded areas, a day at the beach should be a low-risk activity for getting infected with Covid-19. Remember to pack a lunch to avoid the need to spend time in a crowded restaurant.

3. Rent a vacation house. It’s still possible to travel with your close friends or family in a safe way. Before taking a trip, attendees should quarantine for 10 days and get a Covid test to rule out infection. Should everything come back positive, there may be no harm in spending a few days with your family at a vacation home enjoying outdoor activities.
